We are seamlessly connected with each other. We rely on others for most everything. The cars we drive, the food we eat, those who build the houses in which we dwell. In this world, we are born depending on someone to provide us with the essentials of life. The way you make your living is usually to provide others with some product or service. We humans are interdependent. We need each other. The rest of our world is the same. Plants need water, water needs land, animals need both, and we need the whole of nature to insure a stable environment. Everything works together like a grand symphony orchestra.

Our world is not the product of some chaotic explosion called “the Big Bang.” It was created by the guidance of a higher intelligence. There is order in all things, and a purpose for their being. We are not able understand the “whys” of everything because they occur beyond our knowledge. I believe this greater intelligence has put together a magnificent classroom for us to observe, and learn from the guiding principles of this great adventure.

Scientists have discovered many of the rules and regulations governing our world. We call them physical laws: Universal Gravitation; Laws of Motion; Conservation of Mass and Energy; Thermodynamics; and Electrostatic Laws to name a few. These principles are universal. Think what would happen if “Universal Gravitation” would suddenly stop functioning. Our planet would cease to exist; but I know of no one worrying this will happen. We take these things for granted. They are dependable gifts from a mysterious intelligent source.

As there are physical laws, there are also “rules” of personal interaction. However, since we have free choice; breaking or bending the rules does happen. But not without consequences. Corruption, scamming, and conflict are universal on planet earth. Kindness, compassion, and empathy are also universal on planet earth. The choice is for each of us, and the consequences of those choices transform us. They can make our life a living hell, or a thing of great beauty.

The formula is simple. Harm others and you harm yourself. Help others and you help yourself. This law is as sure as the law of gravity. No one can escape the inevitable consequences of their own actions.
