Welcome

This blog is more than an account of Near Death Experiences. It ponders in detail the tough questions of life. Who are you, and why are you here in this physical world? What happens when you die, and is there a judgment? However, most anything could appear here. This is not a news blog, archived posts are just as relevant as new posts. Suicide

Received another letter last week from an individual who’s loved one committed suicide. I get this kind of letter all too often. Mostly, they want to know if the loved one will be punished. Suicides have tripled in the last 20 years. Lots of reasons for the increase: stressful society, competition for colleges, employment, and dependencies account for many deaths. People get hooked on drugs, alcohol, and heavy gambling debt. Drug addicts frequently die from an accidental overdose that is a questionable suicide.

In the opposite direction there’s a decrease in spiritual training. People don’t get involved in spiritual pursuits as often today. These letters sadden me, and there’s nothing to do but comfort the author. I hope every potential suicide would read about near death experiences.

Near death experiences teach us a lot about the spirit world, and what happens when we cross over. I am not an expert on the subject, but did ask a lot of questions and remember much of what I saw there. The spirit world considers suicide a selfish act. The person who commits suicide has to face their problems, and work them out, whether in the physical or spiritual world. So suicide gains the individual nothing. Meanwhile loved ones left behind are emotionally devastated.

Reading near death experiences may help prevent suicides. Studies have shown persons with suicidal tendencies are less likely to attempt suicide after reading a number of near death experiences. Especially suicide near death experiences. NDEs may give them the options needed to work through their problems.

Wonder who/what you are?

Consciousness, mind, spirit, soul, psyche, life force, intelligent, divine spark, awareness, cognizance, perception, sensitive, etc., are words we use to describe the phenomenon of being. This wide variety of words are used in different contexts, and have connotations suitable for different modes of expression, i.e., formal, colloquial, religious, and secular. For this post only the word “consciousness” will be used.

The amount of material written about consciousness is massive, and would have one believe we understood the subject well, however, there are some real world facts that need to be considered.

Consciousness has never been observed. Neither has it been weighed nor measured. The source of consciousness is unknown. Its location, within or without the body, has never been found. No one has determined what consciousness is made of, or exactly what it contains. There is no proof that consciousness is biological.

True, we don’t know what consciousness is, only that it exists, and we could not exist without it, because we are consciousness.

You are eternal consciousness!

You, as consciousness, entered your body at birth, and will exit it at death. This is evidenced by millions of near death experiences. Now, I could list some NDEs along with testimony of surgeons and doctors who witnessed them in order to corroborate my point. But you can read them on the Internet anytime. Instead, I will link a Near Death Experience by a friend named David. This experience illustrates several things that can happen when you attempt suicide. I will also link a Before Birth Experience, in order to give some good thoughts on how consciousness, (that’s you), moves through the physical dimension.

Fear

Everyone knows about fear, and the effect it has on their life. Fear is the only troublemaker in the whole world. It is behind all occasions of hate; all acts of war; all criminal activities; all insincere deeds and cheating; just everything that is hurtful to others. Love is Fear’s antithesis.

Hear the words ‘Fear God.’
Find another church.
