The Kingdom of God

In God’s love there is room for all people. God doesn’t do credit checks, or background searches, He doesn’t exclude anyone. It doesn’t matter what you believe, or what you have done, or what you have left undone. His love embraces all. His love is unconditional.

All sacred religious writings are authored by people. Many of them attempt to define God saying: “God is like this or that,” God wants you to do this,” “God will punish you if you don’t….” But in their attempt to define God they have only succeeded in defining themselves. God is often portrayed with human attributes and failings. The God I was in the presence of during my NDE had no human attributes or failings. He was unconditional love. This is verified by thousands of other’s near death experiences.

We all live within God’s love and God’s love lives within us at all times. Together we are One with God, and He is One with us. There is never a separation between us and God’s love. Even as we wear the physical body and walk the physical plane, there is no separation, we are always connected to God’s eternal love for us, his children.

However, there are those that feel they are separated because they can’t feel God’s love within. Some think God’s love never existed, and others feel God has turned His back on them. Neither is true. God’s love for His children never waivers. His love is unconditional. What then is true? It’s that God’s love has been crowded into a tiny space of our hearts by our larger desires for fame, fortune, or power. We are so busy with physical survival that we spend little or no time practicing spiritual love. So we can no longer feel the love within because we no longer practice love without. We forgot we are created in the image of God, and therefor eternal. Many even believe they will perish when they die. It is not God that has turned His back on us, it is we that have turned our backs on God.

Knowing that many of His children are troubled God sent His Son to help us find our way back to Him and His love. So we could again feel the light of His love within.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
–John 3:16

Jesus, the son of God, brought His message of love to all that would listen, saying: “He who has ears, let him hear.” “The Kingdom of God is within you” said Jesus. He then taught His message of “love one another” in the towns, and from the hillsides. Everywhere Jesus went a crowd would follow to hear Him and learn from His teachings.

In Matthew 5:38-39, Jesus says:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.”

40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 7:1: Jesus said:

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Matthew 18:21: Jesus said:

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Luke 17:20: Jesus said:

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Jesus said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” –John 14:15

Many heard Jesus’ teachings on love, but only a few actually practiced the teachings. Few took the time to show love and compassion to their fellow man. But the few who did rediscovered the light of God’s love within. They became peaceful, calm, and unafraid. They were noticed by others, and became successful in achieving their goals. They helped others achieve abundance in life, becoming leaders and teachers on walking the spiritual path. Their lives were filled with joy and happiness.

Jesus said: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” –Matthew 6:33

A Bigger Purpose

Here is a poem I just wanted to share with you.

We are here for a bigger purpose and cause
Even if we are only playing a seemingly small part
Perhaps we may think it as little or insignificant
But in truth it is everything and wonderfully important

In going about each unique daily given moment
Let us be grateful for its timeless endowment
Whatever we do let our efforts be decidedly cheerful
And leave our fellow brethren LOL in joyous tearful

When the final curtain call comes on our stages
Will we be remembered as the wise kind hearted sages
Forever cherished in the wonderful part that we played
Or the playing that we did with heartlessness portrayed

It is up to us my friends the part that we choose anytime
All actions are not equal, some are courteous some are crime
Some may repel while others applauded and upheld
Seek within what to partake and what to be discarded and expelled

We have always known exactly who we are and need to be
Let not the mean thoughts or should be of others blind us to see
Our loving truth, wonders that we hold within each beautiful soul
We are here to be true so let loving verity be forever our chosen goal

Hugs, gisl

A Wedding, and a White Buffalo

A Wedding

The happy wedded couple departs the scene with the minister looking on.

One of my hobbies is photography. I love to take pictures of things, so several years ago, when I was still working, I bought a really good camera. This camera is better at taking pictures than I am, still not sure how to make all the correct settings. Some of my friends asked me to shoot their wedding, and I agreed. It was quite an experience, timing is everything. That will be the last wedding I do, too stressful. Pictures are slices of frozen life. We can look at a picture and nothing changes or ages. When I look at pictures made of me growing up by my parents, it is with disbelief that I could have been that thin. I spread out a little over the years.

But with this wedding came an unexpected surprise. A rehearsal dinner was held at the Perryman Ranch in Jenks, Oklahoma. The original Perryman house, built in the 1800’s, was full of antique furniture and lamps from that era, it had a wood burning stove for cooking and another one for heating, the big surprise, however, was seeing a white buffalo. Next to the house was a barbed wire fenced-in area with some cattle, and this while buffalo. Knowing the white buffalo is sacred to Native Americans I approached it with a mystic feeling. It just grunted at me and moved further on down the fence. I thought I might pet its head, but it didn’t want to cooperate.

Changed Life

When the near death experiencer returns to his body, and recovers from whatever trauma caused his near death experience his perception of life is changed forever. The change is for the good of the individual. Atheists and agnostics become believers, not in religion, but in spirituality. It is now understood that life continues after the death of the body.

If there were some way to safely induce NDEs, we could change the world, in just a few years, from fear and violence, to love and compassion. It would truly be heaven on earth. But NDEs can not be induced, they happen only after the body and brain are clinically dead.

The near death experience heals not only the state of mind, it also heals the state of the body. Doctors have wondered many times how people could recover from such severe injuries and illnesses, after they were clinically dead. It was the healing experience, the touching of the Light that brought health back. I was told I had only about six months to live when I refused surgery for a heart condition. My near death experience returned me to perfect health, not instantly, but in 18 months. My doctor was astounded by my full recover.

The changed life is caused by a new perception that results from an expansion of consciousness. There is now a much larger picture of the world to consider, one that includes both physical and spiritual dimensions. An experiencer loses the desire for material wealth, the goal now is to improve spiritually and to help others in the process. Narrow personal goals just don’t matter anymore. Old beliefs taught in childhood are no longer held true. Actually, most previous beliefs, and perspectives taught in religion, and science of the world at large are no longer considered valid. There is a shift from believing to experience.

The desire is to learn through experience. To learn to love yourself and all others. To show kindness, caring, and compassion to everyone. In the beginning it is not easy to do, much practice is needed, and it is a long path filled with bumps and shallows. The near death experience has clearly shown the benefits of love, and the experience has taken away the fear of dying. Death does not exist, and to not fear death means to not fear life either. There is a sense of freedom and peace not known before. A joy of living a good physical life.

Most near death experiencers are so excited and motivated by their experience they want to tell everyone about it. However, they quickly found many individuals were frightened or threatened by the telling of their experience. So they learn to “keep quite” about what they had seen and heard during the time they were clinically dead. Not so much now, but over 20 years ago it was difficult to find someone to talk to about the experience. There was a tendency to believe the experience was just an hallucination, or dream. Today, people are more open to the experience having read about it or viewed it in the media.

It still takes considerable time for an experiencer to assimulate and fully understand what just happened to them. It took me over three years to come to grips with my experience and to feel comfortable living in the physical world. I made contact with some other experiencers and we formed a group that proved mutually beneficial.

Still today, after 30 years of clear, solid near death experience research, there are those who wrongly believe the near death experience is just an hallucination. I believe this is due mainly to the misinformation taught by science that there exists only the physical dimension, and anything else is nonsense. Of course science has no proof of this teaching.

The quote below was taken from the “Near Death After Effects” of this site. I believe the list to be an accurate description of the results of a near death experience.

–Strong decrease or complete loss of the fear of death as the result of their NDEs.

–Believe that there is life after death.

–NDErs, including suicide attempters do not generally attempt to take their lives again.

–Spiritual growth, a loving attitude, knowing a Higher Power/God, inner peace and a sense of purpose in life characterize the changes most meaningful to NDErs.

–Strong increase in their concern for others, and that life has meaning or purpose.

–Increase in psychic phenomena or healing abilities following their NDEs.

–Greater ecological sensitivity and planetary concern.

–Increased physical sensitivity, diminished tolerance to light, alcohol and drugs.

–The average NDEr comes to regard him or herself as “an immortal soul currently resident within a material form so lessons can be learned while sojourning in the earthplane.”

–A feeling that the brain has been “altered” to encompass “more”, and a feeling that one is now using the “whole brain” rather than just a small part.

–Energy surges up and down the body happen to many, and can be accompanied by “lights” in the air. Researchers usually regard this as the release of “kundalini” (a Sanskrit term meaning “coiled energy at the base of the spine”).

–Electrical sensitivity refers to a condition whereby the forcefield or energy around an individual affects nearby electrical equipment and technological devices.
