A bridge is being built over
the river that divides our town.
It won’t be merely any bridge,
just the most aptest bridge around.

A double decked steel wonder
to serve everyone the same.
Completely people friendly,
a bridge of the grandest fame.

From two-wheel motorbike to
an eighteen-wheel with trusses.
The top deck carries traffic,
of cars, vans, trucks and buses.

The second deck divided,
with a part for high speed train,
the rest for bikes, and walkers
with a wall betwixt the twain.

Do teach our politicians,
and leadership of each state,
to build such bridges all could
share, truly it would be great.
