Welcome

This blog is more than an account of Near Death Experiences. It ponders in detail the tough questions of life. Who are you, and why are you here in this physical world? What happens when you die, and is there a judgment? However, most anything could appear here. This is not a news blog, archived posts are just as relevant as new posts. Check the boxes at the top of the page for the Contents, Contact, Forum and other links.

Power

The courage, knowledge and energy to overcome

We have within us all the power necessary to live fruitful, loving, and satisfying lives. However, most of us don’t tap into our inner resources; we just follow the path others have chosen for us, or take the path of least resistance. Choose your own path, start by taking back your power, gain the necessary knowledge, and find the courage to become yourself. All of us will not be rocket scientists, nor make fortunes in the stock market, but we all have something important to contribute. Find out what you want to bring to this world and pursue it. It is never too late, and you are never too old.

“Your greatness lies in the power of your thought.”

Close Encounter

I heard a growl from the woods,
saw a gleam of flashing teeth.
Was a mother protecting her cubs?
I yanked my knife from its sheath.

The intruder could not be seen
through wiry tangle of brush.
I knew better than to run
exposing my position thus.

Like a stone statue I stood
deep in the darkened wood.
More than a mile from aid
with only my tiny blade.

My heart pounded in my chest
as leaves rustled round my feet.
A tiny bear was sniffing me,
his mother I cared not meet.

Life went into slow motion
I figured my time had come.
But I had so much to learn,
how could I die this dumb.

A huge growl sent baby bear
running for his little life.
While I stood faced with mother
holding only one small knife.

She stared me in the eye
with a funny puzzled look.
Resembling stone I stood
feeling like a schnook.

She sniffed and sniffed then
slowly moved away.
Scattering leaves before her
leaving me in disarray.

Skydiving

Cooling winds cross my face
falling through open sky.
Only the birds are here,
no one to ask me “why?”

Freedom to dive or swerve
to fall or float in space.
I observe land and sea,
watch water turn to lace..

The ground is a textured
fabric of many shades,
fulgid patterns of grain,
waving fluent brocades.

But quickly I descend,
promptly I’m on the ground.
The beauty of flying on hold,
‘til I pay for another round.

Letting-Go

Releasing the past for the benefit of the future.

Our past can contain unresolved guilt, anger, and fear that destroys our joyous, happy future. Letting-Go of these emotions clears our past, and allows us to go forward with confidence. You are only hurting yourself by holding them. Any negative thought or emotion can ruin your whole day. So look at the thoughts surfacing in your mind today and let-go of the negative ones. Forgive them. Forgive those who may have caused them. Give these thoughts to divine power. Throw them in the trash. Melt them in the shimmering light of love. But don’t give up your peace and happiness one second longer.
