Miracles

Miracles happen all the time, and in all places. They have become so common we sometimes dismiss them as chance, or call them luck. Disbelievers may call them a fortuitous event or circumstance. But whatever they may be called they are there in our lives everyday.

Miracles come in all sizes from very small to very large, however there is no order of difficulty in Miracles. There are no chance happenings in life, everything happens for a reason and has a purpose. But we may not understand that reason or purpose at the time it happens.

I ordered an external hard drive for my computer a week ago, when the drive came I took it out of the box and set it by my computer. I threw the box in a trash bin beside my house. When I went out later I noticed the trash had been picked up, but the box the hard drive had came in was on the front lawn where it had fallen out of the trash bin during the pickup. So I returned it to the trash bin.

Later, I was to discover that the hard drive wouldn’t work. Upon calling the store I bought it from I was told to send it back in the original box if I wanted a refund. It was a miracle that I still had the box.

The placebo effect is a miracle; the spontaneous remission of disease is a miracle; the flight of the bumblebee is a miracle; answered prayer is a miracle; the near death experience is a miracle; the changed lives it causes are a miracle; and life itself is a miracle.

We humans formulate “laws of nature” falsely thinking we know all about nature. When certain events “break” those laws of nature man has formulated, there is a rush not to revise the laws, but to discredit the event. These events are the miracles of life. Enjoy the wonder of miracles, be an observer of life.

Possibility of Love

If you don’t like what’s happening you don’t like God’s plan for you. I give up and accept His/Her lesson. There is great learning in all “events” of our physical life. Great part about it is that there is really good stuff awaiting one once he/she quits thinking they are being punished. Just feel the horror or pain and know that it too has meaning. This allows for a reason, the possibility of a love divine behind our self created emotions. When I shut up I can learn. The great love of my Heavenly Father is always there and is available to me. All things are possible to me. This short time is an illusion of length. We will be in spirit again soon and then off to another adventure. The realms of Angels await us in the playground at the Father’s feet. I don’t miss my biological father so much today knowing he and my sister are united in helping me carry my burdens and extend the kingdom of heaven.

You Leroy, have helped me by your invisible Love and words. You have helped me understand the complaints of my ego. Calm cool, reassurance to the fear produced by the ego when I separate myself from my life’s meaning and convince myself I have been left alone in the universe to perish. Who cares how much one makes, who cares how old one is, who cares how many degrees hang on the wall, who cares how many pieces of silver await me at the moneychangers tent, who cares what kind of status the world gives me. A loving God exists. He loves his child. That’s all I need, all blessings and character flow from that knowing. We don’t even have to DO anything, just sit in His lap and look up into adoring eyes.

Every path has a few puddles.

When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.

The best sermons are lived, not preached.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never gonna happen.

Don ‘t judge folks by their relatives.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Live a good, honorable life…
then when you get older and think back, you’ll enjoy it a second time.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.

Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

The biggest troublemaker you’ll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin’.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.

Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

New Years 2010

Happy New Year to everyone. I wish happiness and success to everyone in the coming year. I don’t do New Year resolutions because I usually break them the first week in the year. I do have goals I try to achieve on an on-going basis. Things like “don’t jump to conclusions,” “read the instuctions first,” “finish the job,” “learn to love the seemingly unloveable,” “become more knowledgable about life,” “encourage others,” and “don’t judge others.” These are a hefty lot of goals in themselves.

But most of all just be yourself. Find out who you really are, and you will have all the self-confidence you need to fulfill your goals. Look within for the real spiritual self. The real you is, powerful, confident, honest, full of love and compassion for others. That is who you are, a beautiful spiritual creation, eternal, caring, and free to choose what you will in the coming year. Your future is your creation. Choose thoughtfully, live thoughtfully, and be at peace with yourself and the world this year and forever.
