Rescued

I was hopeless, and could not be seen,
darkness swirled in shades of midnight green,
shattered, unable to make a sound,
I lay broken on the cold dark ground.

Someone had taught me all about you,
but I never really thought it true.
I was just to busy to believe,
to hurried to ask for a reprieve.

Then heard a soft voice, in kind words say,
“may I offer you my hand today.”
A lucent hand reached for mine to grasp,
painfully I raised my hand to clasp.

On the touch, a river of healing light,
flowed through my body lighting up the night.
Waves of brilliance covered my tortured soul
His compassionate love making me whole.

Hakuna Matata

…it’s a worry free, philosophy.

Worry is fearful thinking about possible future problems. Most of which will never happen, and those that do happen will be considerably less than supposed. Worry is just another form of fear that needs to be addressed and diminished. Your concentration should be on things of the present. Let the future take care of itself. Worry—just don’t do it.

“Hakuna matata” is a Swahili language phrase from East Africa, meaning “no trouble” or “no problems”. The phrase was used in Disney animated film The Lion King, in which it is translated as “no worries”. The song is often heard at resorts, hotels, and other places appealing to the tourist trade.

Words Matter

Words can be hurtful and leave scars like physical violence does. Only you can’t see them. Calling others names is a detestable way to show your fear. Fear is always the primary emotion behind hate and anger.

Where there’s no fear there are no prejudices, no racists, no name calling or degradation. People who fear those of different ethnicity should not be in leadership positions until their fear is calmed through greater knowledge of others.
