Welcome

This blog is more than an account of Near Death Experiences. It ponders in detail the tough questions of life. Who are you, and why are you here in this physical world? What happens when you die, and is there a judgment? However, most anything could appear here. This is not a news blog, archived posts are just as relevant as new posts. Check the boxes at the top of the page for the Contents, Contact, Forum and other links.

Think of Balance

Balance.

Mental and emotional steadiness.

No one promised us a rose garden. We will experience many things in this physical life. We may lose our income, health, or loved ones at any time. We may gain income, health, or a new loved one at any time. Balance is the key to peace, and balance is achieved by seeking the Greater Reality — the reality of God’s Love. Acknowledge that good, and bad things are likely to happen, know that this is just part of the learning process of life. Be assured and safe in the knowledge that when the physical is over we will return home to meet again those we loved so much here on planet earth.

“The word ‘happiness’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”

Carl Gustav Jung, Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist
who founded analytic psychology, 1875 – 1961

Think of Miracles

Miracles.

An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.
Miracles happen daily. You can see one in the smiling face of a child, a newly unfolded rose, or a stunningly brilliant sunset. Every day people are healed of terminal disease, find their lost children, and make friends of former enemies. This world is made positive and beautiful by all the love which lies at the core of every miracle. If you don’t see them, or don’t see them often enough, try love. Learn about it, use it, wear it. Think of unconditional love, make it your goal in life.

“Where there is great love, there are always miracles.”

Willa Sibert Cather
American author winner of the Pulitzer Prize, 1873-19

Think of Solitude

Solitude.

The quality or state of being alone or remote from society.
Learn to enjoy solitude. If you feel uncomfortable being alone, then it is time to become acquinted with yourself. You can learn about yourself in the same way you learn about others, by asking questions. Take some quiet time regularly to enjoy, become friends with, and understand yourself. This is the beginning of self-love, so necessary if you are to feel comfortable with others. Often in life you will need to call upon your best friend for help, that best friend should be you.

“Solitude is the place of purification.”

Martin Buber

Think of Intention

Intention.

Intention implies what one has in mind to do.
Your intentions are the creative force of your future. Think about what your expectations (intentions) will bring you today. You will judge yourself by whether or not your intentions are fulfilled. Did you intend to accomplish a certain task, but failed? Was your intention reasonable or fancyful, actually obtainable or just wishful thinking? Work to bring your intentions into balance with your reality. Don’t judge yourself or others harshly. Understand that making mistakes, or falling short of goals, is just part of living in the physical world. Be kind to yourself and others.

“Don’t be so intent on finding the pot of gold that you forget to look at the rainbow.”
