The day is perfect, full of life,
the sun smiles gently on the earth.
Among the people there is no strife,
their voices rise with dulcet mirth.
This day marked the birth of a child,
who transformed our reality,
His compassion, loving and mild,
heralded our spirituality.
He taught forgiveness at all times,
it matters not how bad the wrong,
and love those who do hurtful crime,
our God will play the judgment song.
Those who heeded the words He spoke,
found lives of devotion and love,
transformed by His message awoke,
reborn from compassion above.
