Meet Ebony and Simon, they are brothers. Rescued with their mother, Amy, from under a row of bushes near a busy street. While Amy was a friendly cat, her kittens preferred to be left alone to play together. They were inseparable and frequently slept together like in the photo. We enjoyed their company for many years until Simon became gravely ill. He was asleep when he passed. Ebony was in another room with a closed door between them. The moment Simon passed Ebony let out an intense howl I’ve never heard come from a cat before. He knew his brother had passed. In a few years Ebony joined Simon in the spirit world. They are now together forever.
The purpose of this post is understanding cats, dogs, and other animals have the same emotions as us humans. They have feelings and love just as we do. Please treat them kindly.
While humans frequently rescue animals, animals can rescue humans as in the post labeled Deke.

I wish it was common knowledge that animals are someones, with the capacity to feel and form relations, just like humans.
I totally agree with you.
