Welcome

This blog is more than an account of Near Death Experiences. It ponders in detail the tough questions of life. Who are you, and why are you here in this physical world? What happens when you die, and is there a judgment? However, most anything could appear here. This is not a news blog, archived posts are just as relevant as new posts. Check the boxes at the top of the page for the Contents, Contact, Forum and other links.

My Cat

Nugget rests upon my lap.
We are both long past our prime.
Our writing bouts, full of fun.
We’ve paid our dues, done our time.

While I write this poem, he helps,
clawing at my pen, stabbing
tiny holes in the paper
for which he is now grabbing.

We spend the day this way
until time for napping,
he in my lap, I in my chair,
dream puff castles in the air.

There is no fear of the future
for when we finish this life
we both will be together
again in the land of paradise.

The Cat of Many Colors

Amanda

This is Amanda the cat of many colors. I have owned a lot of cats but none with all the colors of cats. Black, brown, tan, grey, white and yellow. I think this is pretty unusual. She is a big cat and loves to be petted.

In Memory of Mittens

Mittens

Mittens
January 15, 1992 — February 11, 2011

Mittens lived outside the first 14 years of her life because she belonged to a neighbor. She would climb our chain-link fence putting her paws in the links, using them as a ladder to the top, and then walk along the top of the fence before jumping into our yard.

When the neighbors moved away leaving Mittens behind we took her inside our home to live with us. She didn’t like other cats so we gave her a room by herself. She was loved very much by all our family.

After achieving her 19th birthday she went to live in the spirit world. She lived a good, full life, and shared much love with our family. We will miss her, but we know she is in a good place waiting, until the time comes for us to be together again.

Her loving family
