Glacial Blue Light.
This is not quite a near death experience, the man actually died.I am a Fireman in Southern California. My engine company was called to a man down. We arrived and immediately started CPR and ALS treatment. The ambulance arrived and while we were working on the patient there was a sudden flash of what I call a glacial blue light. We all five saw the flash and it did cause a moment of hesitation and some quick glances. I have done CPR on real patients hundreds of times and have never seen anything like this.
In reading on the internet the bluish white light seems to be a common thread.
Fireman.
(The curtain between the physical and the spiritual is thin. It is possible you saw a glimpse of the light the patient saw as he went into the spiritual realm.)
