A Near Death Experience, No. 2.

Near-Death Experience...Maybe?

Hi, I'm new to this, so please forgive any mistakes I may make along the way. I have been encouraged to share my experience here. I don't know if I had an NDE or not...I would appreciate any input you may want to offer.

When I was six months old, I had to be hospitalized for cyst removal on the lobe of my lung. This surgery had never been performed on an infant before. I made it through the surgery. But afterward, there was a time when I was in critical condition.

My mom told me that she went to the nursery to check on me before leaving the hospital for the night. She saw a man dressed in white with a long white beard pick me up from the crib and then put me back down again. After seeing that, she fainted.

All through my life I have been interested in death, and the afterlife. I have never put the two together before (the experience and the interest), it just "hit me" recently.

I've spent all of my adult life studying and working as closely as I can with death and dying related issues. I have been a volunteer in hospice for the last five years.

I have no fear of death at all...but if I had the experience, I don't remember it. Wish I did though.
