There\nis a vast difference between Religious beliefs and Spiritual reality.\nThe Greeks and Romans had many Gods. They erected statues and places\nof worship. Gave sacrifices, wealth and great devotion to their Gods.\nNow, the religions of this ancient time have faded into history. The\nreligions of today will also eventually fade out of favor and into\nhistory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Religion\nis an institution for expressing belief in a divine power. A set of\nrites, rituals, practices, and protocol written and followed by\nmankind. It is because religion is physical expression, it is doomed\nto the fate of all physical constructs. They have a beginning, grow\ninto maturity, get older, out of date, and finally come to an end. We\nread about them in history class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spirit,\non the other hand, remains unchanged. Spirit exists above and beyond\nthe discernment of mankind. Spirit created the physical world and all\nthings within. You are spiritual. You were created by Spirit and are\noccupying a physical body in order to live, learn, and grow\nspiritually within the physical world. When your body becomes\nunsuitable for physical life you will return to the spirit world.\nLike spirit, you are eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\nhumans\nwe can not fully understand the nature of spirit, nor do we know how\nspirit came into being. Some\nhumans have experienced a short\nglimpse<\/a>\nof the spiritual world through a\nphenomenon called the\nNear\nDeath Experience.<\/a>\nIt is through these experiences that we are able to understand some\nrealities of the spirit world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spirit\nis light, and the light is pure energy. All things have their\nbeginning in the light. You were created as a being\nof\nlight, self-aware, and with\nthe characteristics of\nunconditional\nlove,\nunflagging curiosity, and\neternal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\ngrow spiritually by expanding your awareness. The physical world\nallows you to make choices, then\nlive through the consequences of those choices. The rule of spirit is\n\u201clike attracts like.\u201d How you treat others determines how you are\ntreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually\nyou will learn to be nonjudgmental, kind and loving. Your\njob is learn to\nunderstand yourself and others. Accept others and yourself for what\nyou are and expand your love. The\nmore you learn the more you will understand.\nYou\nhonor yourself by honoring others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never\nforget you are the light of the Creator surrounded by unconditional\nlove. When life gets difficult seek the light within. It\nis your birthright. Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will\nfind. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.<\/p>\n\n
