Dear Mister Preacher man
\ndon\u2019t teach my children fear.
\nSermons of hellish fire,
\nWhat is this farce I hear?<\/p>\n

You say God is jealous,
\nSo angry, to condemn
\nHis own precious children
\nto burn in hell for sin.<\/p>\n

You did not heed the One
\nthat set the teaching true.
\nGod\u2019s one and only Son,
\nthe gift He gave to you.<\/p>\n

Why worship now His death
\nby ignorant, maddened throng,
\ndiscarding His sweet words
\nthat taught us right from wrong?<\/p>\n

He asked you to Love God
\nwith your heart, mind and soul,
\nand to love one another,
\nnow that should be your goal.<\/p>\n

Love your enemies, doing
\ngood to them that wrong.
\nGo pace that second mile,
\ngive love as you walk along.<\/p>\n

Give service unto others
\nso you be fully blessed.
\nHelp the poor, the homeless,
\nwalk the path He professed.<\/p>\n

Forgive those that harm you,
\ndo not judge nor condemn.
\nTreat others as you would like
\nto be treated by them.<\/p>\n

Now Mister Preacher man
\nwhat don\u2019t you understand.
\nThe Son said: \u201cteach love\u201d to
\neach woman, child, and man.<\/p>\n

Please Mister Preacher man
\ndon\u2019t teach my children fear.
\nGive them the words of love,
\nthat they may hold them dear.<\/p>\n
