{"id":2619,"date":"2010-01-31T05:58:49","date_gmt":"2010-01-31T11:58:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aleroy.com\/blog\/?p=2619"},"modified":"2019-08-28T17:39:15","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T22:39:15","slug":"a-little-kitty-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aleroy.com\/blog\/archives\/2619\/a-little-kitty-poem","title":{"rendered":"&#8230;a little kitty poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Since you love kitties so tenderly&#8230;.I thought I might share this poem with you in remembrance of a little friend of my own&#8230;Blessings and hugs, gisl<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Once there was a kitty who needed a home<br \/>\nAnd no one wanted her so she had to roam<br \/>\nShe was in need cuz she waddled a big belly<br \/>\nUnto my door she meowed, ragged and smelly<\/p>\n<p>I gave her food and invited her in<br \/>\nShe purred thank you and settled quickly within<br \/>\nEating and drinking like it was her last meal<br \/>\nYet pausing in between giving nudges to my heel<\/p>\n<p>Quickly the days passed and it was her time<br \/>\nShe paced and whined into her box she did climb<br \/>\nI readied the towels, blankets and knelt by her side<br \/>\nThru painful efforts she bore four kittens with courage and pride<\/p>\n<p>That was my sweet Susie who was thereafter a very loyal friend<br \/>\nWhether on my lap or for companion i could always depend<br \/>\nSo just because i fed her and gave some kindness and care<br \/>\nSusie showered me with love and affection beyond compare<\/p>\n<p>Such a simple sharing and not much of a drain<br \/>\nOne soul affecting another both receiving gain<br \/>\nThat is my story with a most beloved creature<br \/>\nA sweet life experience from a most loving teacher<\/p>\n<p><em>For Susie, a most beloved friend, gone back to God, but her paws and love forever imprinted in my heart&#8230;gisl<\/p>\n<p>Imagine how our world would be if we could give one another the same sort of loving exchange that an animal, who does not speak with our same words, readily is able to do, just by its presence exemplifying unconditional love in the simple act of loyal grateful friendship&#8230;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style='text-align:left'>&copy; 2010 &#8211; 2019, <a href='https:\/\/aleroy.com\/blog'>Lekatt<\/a>.
