I Whisper

I whisper
\nIn hopes a whisper will be heard
\nWhere a shout will not<\/p>\n
The cycle of life will win out, that much is certain
\nQuestions can wait
\nToday, you need not prepare for what is to come<\/p>\n
It is comforting to say, \u201cThere is time enough.\u201d
\nThis does not need to be considered, today.
\nThis comes from our fear of the unknown.<\/p>\n
One day, all to soon, the time will be upon us.
\nThe question will be there.
\nThis is unavoidable.<\/p>\n
Alone, just a lonely soul due to pass.
\nWill you make that long walk through the valley alone?
\nOr will there be someone to welcome you and help you through.<\/p>\n
You can see, feel, hear, and think with reason.
\nYet you choose not to consider life,
\nuntil a later day.<\/p>\n
Our lives seem stable
\nToday is much like yesterday
\nWe could always be as we are today
\nWe could go about our life
\nAs if nothing changes.<\/p>\n
We may choose to live as if our life were like a fly caught in a drop of amber
\nForever preserved as it is, today.
\nIf that is your choice, that will work.<\/p>\n
That will work because it is your choice
\nIt is your choice to make
\nYours and yours, alone.<\/p>\n
You may choose not to consider
\nUntil your time is up
\nThe question and the doubt will come
\nThat we know, just, \u201cNot today\u201d<\/p>\n
Not today, for tomorrow is a much better day
\nJust not today
\nPassing is frightening; it seems contrary to life, itself.<\/p>\n
Even with friends and family we live our lives alone
\nWe are alone and often lonely, isolated within ourselves
\nOur life is all we, truly, hold,
\nAnd fear the day we no longer may hold, even, that.<\/p>\n
One day each week, or two
\nWe gather to lift our spirits, and for inspiration
\nStill, in the next minute we find ourselves alone, again<\/p>\n
The inspiration and the lifting of our spirits
\nDoes not stay, it does not touch us.
\nIt does not stay because it is not true to us<\/p>\n
We feel no one knows who we are
\nWe are alone, perhaps that is so because we don\u2019t
\nTruly, know who we are.<\/p>\n
Button up your coat and put on a brave face
\nGo one more day, for tomorrow is a much better day.
\nJust not today.<\/p>\n
I whisper to you
\nA beginning may be a continuation
\nAn ending may be a beginning
\nA life passing may, only be a change<\/p>\n
It would seem to ask the question sooner rather than late
\nWould be wise
\nFor if an answer comes there may be a little time to ask another
\nAnd another<\/p>\n
Answers need time
\nTime to make it your answer
\nIt must be your answer to count.<\/p>\n
Could it be the darkness we fear?
\nis only an absence of light?
\nCould it be that an answer may help light our way?<\/p>\n
For an answer to become our answer
\nFor an answer to become an answer at all
\nThe question must, first, be asked.<\/p>\n
That is our Freedom, our freedom of choice
\nBane or blessing
\nWe must ask the question in order to get our answer.<\/p>\n
Can you
\nWill you
\nAsk your question in time to get your answer?<\/p>\n
Be wary for even if you find yourself brave enough to ask
\nThere is no guarantee an answer will come.<\/p>\n
For all will pass one day
\nThat is the nature of life
\nThe only difference seems to be
\nDo we pass in fear?
\nOr do we pass, joyfully in light of our answer?<\/p>\n
We will meet
\nOr we will meet, again
\nIt is a sad thing to contemplate how many will pass in abject fear
\nWhat should be a joyous transition.<\/p>\n
I fear for you
\nI feel the fear in you
\nI love you<\/p>\n
So, I whisper to you
\nSomeone will be there for you
\nSomeone will welcome you and help you on your way
\nBeing alone will be no more for no one dies alone!<\/p>\n
Find your answer
\nAsk your question
\nThe knowledge is within you.<\/p>\n
Find the light
\nTo light your way beyond
\nBeyond the Veil of Innocence<\/p>\n
I whisper for you <\/p>\n
