A writing prompt I did at the DWG.

'what autumn leaves say to me.’
By Britney Pieta

Autumn leaves show that dying can be beautiful. Leaves release their beauty in colors of orange, red, yellow before they crumple and shrivel away. They are like flowers thrown on a walkway at a wedding or thrown on the ground in front of a king as he walks. Although fall shows that winter is coming, they also show that we need to enjoy the beauty of our lives even as we get older because the real beauty is on the inside. Every leaf is beautiful in its own way and is not afraid to show its beauty. Even though it knows eventually it will fade away—it knows new leaves will grow on its home branches once again.
