Here is a poem I wrote earlier this year that I wanted to share. Enjoy!

Built to Perfection
By Britney Pieta

Humans were built to perfection by God—
Meant to have nothing missing and nothing broken.

We were made with the innocence of a baby—
To look at the world with wonder.

We were made with the deep roots of a tree—
To be secure and stronger every new day.

We were made with the delicateness of a flower—
To be beautiful on the inside and out.

We were made with the sweetness of sugar—
To show love and kindness to our neighbors.

We were made with a sense of humor and adventure—
To enjoy and walk on this journey.

We were made to withstand the worst of all weather—
To endure physical, mental, and emotional pain.

We were made with the inner will to live and fight for life—
To complete a life’s mission.

And last but not least made in the image—
Of the creator himself—
To live forever and ever.
